Coping With Grief

Dealing with the death of a friend or family member is not something a college student expects to encounter. Here are two links that may help in a time of grief and sorrow.

Working Together To Prevent Suicide

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among college students. Often, suicide is the result of severe depression. While depression is a highly treatable condition, 2 out of 3 depressed college students never seek treatment. Are you concerned about yourself or a friend?

Preventing Sexual Assault

Practicing sexual integrity involves appreciating and sanctifying the integrity of the human person. Consequantly, the person who we encounter is not an obect to be used for the sake of mere personal pleasure, but a being whose presence commands self-giving love. The University Counseling Center encourages students to live in a manner that honors the human body in both self and others.
